Resumed development!
Hello! It's been a really long time, but I'm happy to announce that in the past weeks, I've worked quite a lot on blind survival and decided some things.
1 I am currently free from uni for a few weeks before I do my last course and take my university degree. I will work on the game during these weeks, and we'll see how far I get! So I still don't have any clear idea of when the game will be done, but by the end of the year or the end of summer is a rather good bet if I keep being this productive. What I do know is that...
2 There will be NO MORE betas. Once the game is ready, it will be released here on itch.io and on steam with a price tag of around 8-10€. There will probably also be a "supporter edition" available, which will add a few more things in game and maybe some special content that was previously up on the Patreon before I shut that down during the game's paused development. I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't separated the game's development into betas, there would be a full game out right now. I won't deny that the betas did give me some useful feedback, so maybe it will add a lot of value to the end product. Near the games release or shortly after I might make a longer discussion of my learnings from the game's development.
3 There will be more narration and voicing in the story, which will be done by me. It might have been fun to have other voices in the game, but I would also like Blind Survival to be a showcase of all the different things I'm capable of making, something that I can look back on and think "Wow, I did all this!". Still: it wouldn't be possible without help and support from others, which I'm very grateful for.
4 With this new narration comes an almost full rewrite of the text in the story, if there is anything that I've learned in uni, it's how to write better (this text is probably full of errors lol). Considering that a lot of the text to speech will be replaced with a new human voice and script, I will probably shortly before or after the game's release move the betas into my website. This is so that people wouldn't be confused and think that the free betas are demos of the final product. Having all of the betas and alpha(never released) versions available somewhere would also surely be fun for someone to look through.
Thanks for reading if there are people still here! I will now get back to rewriting the text and going into the closet to record some lines. Cya (hopefully) soon!

Congrats on returning to the project, and thanks for a nice update! You should definitely update us more with your progress, as well as that final development log. I find that it’s always helpful to take a step back and have that final reflection, especially on huge projects like this. If anything, it will hold us over until release. Best of luck with the release and your degree!
Thanks for the comment! And yes, having a reflection/evaluation phase should always be a part of any big project :)
