Finished with university and development is going smoothly!
Hello everyone! Last week I got the news that my dissertation had passed, which means I’m done with university! (Except for that one course where I need to wait for a final grade because me and my classmate forgot a 2% margin between two columns in a website. Whoops!)
During the last couple of weeks I’ve worked on Blind Survival as planned, and development is going smoothly. So it seems I’ll be able to keep it to the estimate of being finished late august/early september.
My final essay (12k words) was about game mods that aimed to make visual games playable for blind people. I focused the research specifically on Hearthstone Access and Pokémon Access, with a perspective on the players experiences with the mods. Very fascinating! I feel quite inspired to try and make such a mod of my own, unsure what game it could be for though and I’ve never made a mod before. The paper is published in a swedish database, but feel free to download and translate it for your own use if you so wish. It can be found here.
Have a fantastic summer!
